As the people of Alexandria started arriving, the Basilica of Saint Luis started filling up. But suddenly a series of three golden carriages arrived. From the first one we saw the Emperor get off and into the Basilica, he was followed by the Dauphin and Princess Alexandra from the second carriage, and after them: the guest of honour of the day: the recently elected prime minister: Matthieu Poitiers.

He was warmly welcome by all the attendants who had not yet entered in the Basilica; and once inside he went to sit beside the Emperor, the Dauphin, and the Princess.

His Eminence, Jacques de Beaufort, the Cardinal de Geneva performed the most beautiful Thanksgiving service in a long time.



Brothers and Sisters,
Today we are here to celebrate the election of Matthieu Poitiers as our new Prime Minister and of course to celebrate thanksgiving. Shall we begin:
In the name of the Father+, and of the Son+, and of the Holy Spirit+. Amen

45 minutes later the service was over and everybody departed the Basilica towards the Imperial Palace of Wesloderia for the evening'sfestivities.
