The Duchy of Duisberg

The Duchy of Duisberg is located in the Martino Island. The Duchy occupies half of Altamira and half of Ponce. The Honorable Duke of the province of Duisberg is Marshal Heinrich Schroeder, the Duke of Duisberg lives in Radstad, the capital of Duisberg.

The Duchy of Duisberg is big on Fishing, Lumber, Spices, and Manufaturing. The Uneployment rate is 2% The population of duisberg is mainly of Martino decent, 45% of the population is spanish, while 60% is german.

HISTORY NOTE: During the fall of San Martin, Altamira the most radical province of San Martin split away from San Martin forming a Comunist state, Altamira needed help. Gen. Jose Enrique Martin threatned to invade the state and force it join back with San Martin. Altamira's Secretary-General, Pedro López Fernández, appealed for help to Germania, Germania sent 35,000 men to help Altamira. Few weeks after Germania sent the troops, There was a coup d'etat in Germania which marked the Fall of Germania. Von Wulf, the new leader was quickly overthorned by the old regime which was now headed by Kurt Fisher, formerly known as Pres. Hinkelmann. The 35,000 troops were stranded in Altamira, the government of Altamira allowed them to become citizens of Altamira. Gen. Jose Enrique Martin, and his forces retreated back to Ponce, the capital of Union of Independant States of whom, Jose Enrique Martin became the President of. After, only 4 weeks the UIS was annexed into the Empire of the Alexandrians, and Gen. Jose Enrique Martin fled to his sweethart who lived in the now known Castor island, Jose Enrique Martin was never heard of again.

What happened to Altamira?

After only a month, as an independant state, Altamira was sent its forces and attacked several villages in Ponce, Los Santos, and Las Cruces. At the time the government was in complete Anarchy because its leader, Pedro López Fernández fled an was never found. Once informed of this, the government of Alexandria began planning the invasion, but their most trusted ally, the Viking Empire of Stormark decided to step in and help sending 70,000 men to help. Stormark arrived and immediately conquered half the state sending most of the guerilla fighters to the rice patties to fight. HIH Prince Enrique and the Defense Minister Jordan Smith arrived in the Martino Island with 100,000 troops total.

Shortly after their arrival, Jordan Smith went north to continue the invasion and ended up taking the south portion of Altamira, Prince Enrique and his troops 55,000 marched north where most of the germanians were at one point, they arrived and all the guerrilla fighters gave up their weapons and surrendered, shortly after, Prince Enrique uncovered where their leader, Norberto Harbelio, the leader of the guerilla fighters was, and when he found him, he was cought and sent to jail and died there at the age of 57.

What was the UIS?

The UIS or Union of Independant States was a union that first began in Ponce after the fall of the Martino Empire. Poncean forces under the command of Gen. Jose Enrique Martin, invaded the capital state of Los Santos and eventually took over the Capital. Gen. Enrique hoped to re-established the Empire, and reinstate its Emperor, Roberto I, but his plan failed. Gen. Augusto Benavides had merged Isla Gera(Castor Island) and Santa Gertrudis and combined them into a confederation. Gen. Martin then established himself as the President of the UIS, and its only citizen was Pedro Miguel Lopez and Joseph Pedro Martinez. The Capital of the UIS was located in Ponce, then was moved to Los Santos. The UIS was annexed into the Empire of the Alexandrians within 3 weeks of its existance.

What about the rest of San Martin?

The Viceroyalty of Valentia broke off and formed the Kingdom of Storjord under Alarico Pablo Montario. The Kingdom of Storjord did not last for long, it fell after only weeks of being formed.
