Title: Our Parliamentary Minister
Jean Michel Leclerc - May 21, 2008 07:57 PM (GMT)
So, we've lost our MP for Valenciennes in the Imperial Parliament. Who fancies the job then?
Valentin Jourdan - May 21, 2008 08:16 PM (GMT)
As a presently unemployed resident of Valenciennes, I humbly offer my services to the province.
Of course, if someone with greater seniority than me wishes to take the job, then by all means I shall accede to them.
Pete James - May 21, 2008 10:26 PM (GMT)
I'd like to announce my intention to run.
Jean Michel Leclerc - May 22, 2008 12:08 PM (GMT)
It would be quite nice to have the position contested for a change. The last three or four times it has been won by default.
Sebastien Alexandre - May 23, 2008 10:15 PM (GMT)
I'll gladly throw my support behind Valentin. It is high time that some new politicians made it to the stage.
Valentin Jourdan - May 24, 2008 05:28 PM (GMT)
Thank you for your support, Mssr. Alexandre.
John_Carmichael - May 24, 2008 06:01 PM (GMT)
I think Mssr. James is the better candidate for Valeciennes personally.

That is certainly for us to decide, Mssr. Carmichael ;)
I look forward to seeing both candidates' platforms for the upcoming by-election.

See i love Valenciennes elections! Always depends on the big voting bloc.... the federalists ;)
The Genevan Arrow, will again cover the election.

Indeed, he may well be that. However, he would never have become that if he, too, had not been given the chance to shine at the very beginning. Everyone has to start somewhere, and if my vote has anything to say about it, this will be monsieur Jourdan's chance.
Jean Michel Leclerc - May 26, 2008 01:45 PM (GMT)
Ooh, I'm getting all excited... and I just can't hide it. ;)
Pete James - May 27, 2008 01:20 PM (GMT)
Sebastian you can hardly support a candidate before you even know what he stands for ;)
My Platform is a simple one, I will work to pass greater powers to the Valenciennes Provincial Parliament, so that this, one of the most Liberal Areas in Alexandria will have the option to have its own independent legal system (Think more Scotland/England than US) and laws which reflect the beliefs of our populace.
In addition I will do my utmost to ensure an ACTIVE Imperial Parliament, which has been one of the biggest problems facing Alexandria recently.

I like the sound of your platform I must say!
