The Electoral Schedule Constitutional Amendment Act
A Bill to amend the Constitution to establish a new electoral schedule, lengthen terms of Parliament, and simplify the ratification of treaties of mutual recognition.

BE IT ENACTED by the Emperor's most Excellent Imperial Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Members of Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

ARTICLE 1: CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS.
a. Article 18, Section 2 is hereby amended to read as follows:
QUOTE
(2) Elections to Parliament shall be held on the second weekend of the last month of a Parliament's term or two weeks immediately after the dissolution of a Parliament.

b. Article 16, Section 1 is hereby amended to read as follows:
QUOTE
(1) The Legislative Power shall be vested in a unicameral Imperial Parliament, and shall sit for a session in duration for four months. The legislative power of the Imperial Parliament includes the power to ratify treaties with other states. Treaties not ratified within six months have to be revoked by the Emperor. Simple treaties of mutual recognition do not need to be subjected to parliamentary ratification, unless a Member of Parliament motions to do so in the floor of the Imperial Parliament.
