Alexandrian 6th Anniversary Ball

Held in the beautiful gardens of the Palace of Wesloderia, an outdoor spring ball is being held to celebrate the 6th anniversary of the founding of the Kingdom of the Union of Madland, which later became the Empire of the Alexandrians.

All citizens are invited to His Imperial Majesty's Palace, where they are free to mingle with guests who often include world statesmen and leaders such as the Emperor of Stormark.
  • The ball is a white tie/full evening dress event.
  • Food and refreshments will be served at the Garden Pavilion, specifically commissioned and built for this event. The Grand Pavilion adjacent to the Garden Pavilion is where His Majesty's Band will be playing a selection of modern music for guests to dance.
  • All Alexandrian nationals attending the ball are required to wear a pin with the Alexandrian flag. These will be available at the entrance of the event should one fail to bring one.
  • The ball will begin at 7:00 pm sharp. There is no specified end time, as His Imperial Majesty usually enjoys celebrating into the early hours of the morning. Guests are free to leave after 10:00 pm.

One of the best wines ever produced in Alexandria, I might add. I am honored to be serving Santanderian wine in the ball. Thanks for the wine, Your Grace.

Jean Michel Leclerc - May 7, 2008 07:12 AM (GMT)
Excellent. Just the accompaniment one needs in the Hall of Mirrors. My last visit here was during a state visit from the President of Talamthom!

Emperor Edgard II - May 7, 2008 08:21 PM (GMT)
The Emperor arrives with Empress Iphigénie, dressed in full Imperial regalia to dazzle and astound the guests. They begin to mingle with the guests.

Imperial Court of Avaricum - May 7, 2008 10:09 PM (GMT)
Emperor Edouard of Avaricum approaches the Alexandrian imperial couple and starts talking to his relatives:

«Dearest Cousin, Dearest Sister, I am so delighted to meet you here today! Congratulations for the Ball, the Avarian Court and myself are just smitten...»

HIH Prince Enrique Portela - May 7, 2008 11:52 PM (GMT)
His Imperial Highness arrives with Lady Elizabeth, dressed in full regalia and his tailor-made Marshal hat. Softly walking down the steps the dauphin is offered french wine. Immidiately standing alongside three men whom he described as "Great Alexandrians" Jean Michel Leclerc, Augusto Benavides and Sir Juergen de Cautzberg.

The three were spotted drinking the best of wines from Santander and Corcovado.

Emperor Edgard II - May 7, 2008 11:52 PM (GMT)
The Emperor's face lights up with contentment upon seeing his brother-in-law, and Empress Iphigénie's face is adorned with a beautiful smile.

Empress Iphigénie: "Mon frere, it is so nice to see you, I've missed you so much."

The Empress embraced her brother as the Emperor watched.

Emperor Edgard: "Mon frere, c'est un honneur grande de te revoir!"

Andreas the Wise - May 8, 2008 04:52 AM (GMT)
Andreas the Wise from the Confederation of Gralus was delighted to be invited to such an occasion, and happily mingled with the assembled guests. While his state visit to Alexandria had not been as effective as he may have wished, it had given him a great opportunity to tour some of the land and meet some of the local people, and he was very happy to be able to catch up with some again here.

AugustoBenavides - May 8, 2008 06:52 AM (GMT)
The Prince of Corcovado, dressed in his military full gala attire, welcomed some of the guests including His Majesty Emperor Edoard, His Majesty Emperor Harald and His Excellency Andreas, and offered some the exquisite wines from both Santander and obviosly Corcovado.

You will find that the best from our beloved Corovado is the Merlot and Carmenere, while Santander has a quite special Cabernet Sauvignon.

John_Carmichael - May 8, 2008 11:46 AM (GMT)
Jean Carmichael, recently returned to the Imperial Parliament and Leader of the AAP, arrives in his white tie dinner suit. Taking a glass of white wine, Carmichael talks animatedly with a small group of Alexandrian officers, in preparation for his role as Defence Minister.

Carmichael then goes to look over the Geneva Symphony Orchestra as it plays the music for the evening. As Danse Macabre by Saint Saens is played, Carmichael and the music critic of the Geneva Herald both agree that the usual high standards of the orchestra are even higher on this special occasion.

Juergen - May 8, 2008 11:52 AM (GMT)
Your IH,

I agreed with you, at least our wine varieties have tastes, and smells distinct and memorable to form the best categories of wine in the world of Giess.

respectfully

AugustoBenavides - May 9, 2008 04:39 AM (GMT)
Certainly something to be proud of Your Grace, and note that Mssr. Carmichael is right too, the music is splendid.

hard_right - May 10, 2008 02:30 AM (GMT)

Mssr. Frias arrives with his wife, Maria, and walk towards His Highness, the Prince of Corcovado.

AugustoBenavides - May 10, 2008 04:59 AM (GMT)
Your Excellency, Madame, such a pleasure to find fellow riograndians in this magnificent celebration.

I believe that Admiral Jackson is here too, but haven't had the chance to talk with him.
