Lord High Justice,

Apropos this thread am I to believe that Mssr. Torres has been released without charge from the Concierge?

If this is the case, following the recent resubmission by yourself of the warrant for arrest etc, am I to assume that his rights of freedom, including his rights to run a political party, are to be restored to him?

I ask you this before I go into the admin section and change him from 'Prisoner' to 'Citoyen'.

A hasty reply on this matter would be appreciated.

Regards,

Bertrand Barisart - April 1, 2008 09:51 AM (GMT)
Your Excellency,

Franco Torres was imprisoned by the Emperor under the common law of Alexandria. He was subsequently released because due to the Code of Criminal Procedure that part of the common law of Alexandria ceased to have effect. The imprisonment of Monsieur Torres was therefore no longer lawful.

Soon after the release of Monsieur Torres the Government, however, instituted criminal proceedings under the Code of Criminal Procedure.
Monsieur Torres was subsequently indicted and a Warrant for Arrest, under which he is currently held, was issued.

Monsieur Torres shall therefore remain imprisoned in the Conciergerie until there is a reason for the Court to release him under or in consequence of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Do I therefore have the right to refuse his request for the UCN Party forum to be reopened?

As His Honor has stated, he is still imprisoned, his party is therefore inactive due to the fact that Mssr. Torres is in the Conciergerie. Correct me if im wrong, but you do have the right to refuse his 'request'.

He shouldnt even be on Parliament floor. He is to remain in the Conciergerie as His Honor has stated.

respectfully,

Yes, you have.
