Title: Austi Scot
Description: Duke of the Fief of Baudrix

Austi Scot - January 22, 2008 02:37 AM (GMT)

Removed by Austi Scot due to the King disallowing the formation of this government.

Christopher Collins - January 22, 2008 02:42 AM (GMT)
Hello..

I I am interested in a Marquess positon! I do ask though, must this Declaration be approved in some way? Regardless, I hope to be involved. I must admit, this is a wee bit of an odd way of doing things, but....

Thank You,
Christopher

I am unsure as to whether this declaration compounds with the law, but I feel it probably will. The Emperor is the fount of all honour in Alexandria and I think that declarations of being a Duke are not legal.

Jean Michel Leclerc - January 22, 2008 02:30 PM (GMT)
I am with Mssr. Carmichael on this. And, personally, I stand opposed to anyone declaring themselves a Duke without a Letters Patent being issued from the Emperor.

I believe the Eternal Declaration is in agreement with the Constitution and laws of Alexandria also. If I am mistaken I am willing to have anyone show me where the conflict exist and to make necessary corrections.

The Constitution of the Empire of the Alexandrians
Article 30 [Provincial Governments]
QUOTE
The Provinces of the Alexandria -being Asunción, Puerto Nuevo, Rio Grande, Valenciennes and Baudrix- are allowed to create their own governmental bodies and regulations, as long as they pledge their service to this Constitution and do not contradict any law that may be put forward by the Imperial Parliament of the Empire of the Alexandrians.

QUOTE

I looked at the laws and didn’t find a conflict but I am willing to be shown a law or part of the Constitution that makes this illegal.

(12) [Fons honorum] The Emperor, as the fons honorum, has sole power to elevate citizens to the nobility, grant and bestow orders of chivalry, and present honours.

I honestly believe this paragraph is speaking in terms of Nobility of the Kingdom not of the Fief (Province). The Eternal Declaration gives no elevation to nobility of the Kingdom.

From the Eternal Declaration:
QUOTE
Classes and Standing in the Fief, from highest to lowest:
Nobility Class:

It then goes on to list the Nobility of Baudrix, these are not effective outside Baudrix for other Provinces have a more advanced form of government.

Please show me a law or part of the Constitution which calls for a Letters Patent to be made a Duke.

The Constitution of the Empire of the Alexandrians
Article 15 [Powers of the Emperor]
QUOTE
(10) [Imperial Warrants, Letters Patent] The Emperor may execute Imperial Warrants and Letters Patent to associations and corporate bodies within the Realm

This reads to associations and corporate bodies. It says nothing of Title of Nobilities within a Province (Fief).

QUOTE
(12) [Fons honorum] The Emperor, as the fons honorum, has sole power to elevate citizens to the nobility, grant and bestow orders of chivalry, and present honours.

Emperor Edgard II - January 22, 2008 06:18 PM (GMT)
Austi,

This declaration is not valid and it is not constitutional. No one can assume titles out of the blue like this, as the Emperor serves as the Fountain of Honors. Please respect the traditions, the laws and the current Constitution.

Austi Scot - January 22, 2008 06:39 PM (GMT)
Your Majesty,

I am sorry to read what you have to say here.

It is my sincere belief that this does follow the Constitution and laws.

Nonetheless - I shall not proceed.

Juergen - January 23, 2008 04:59 AM (GMT)
We are, after all, what we believe we are. People often dream about wishing to have power, a title, fortune …. as if it is something others can bestow on them, when in fact it is only to take care for their personality.

Jean Michel Leclerc - January 23, 2008 07:56 AM (GMT)
Jeurgen I agree.

Scott, you'll find that I was agreeing with Mssr Carmichael's comments when he said
QUOTE
I think that declarations of being a Duke are not legal.

Austi Scot - January 29, 2008 12:41 AM (GMT)
Mr. Leclerc,

My name is not Scott - it is Austi Scot

Notice that Scot is my last name - and there is only one "t"

I ask "medical myopia" ?

Jean Michel Leclerc - January 29, 2008 09:18 AM (GMT)
I am actually myopic. I wear corrective lenses for it, what's your excuse?

Austi Scot - February 1, 2008 03:00 PM (GMT)
I don't have "medical myopia" remember.

You said I have "political myopia" - then tried to back off to saying you meant "medical myopia".

I'm not making excuses - I called the Emperor a King by mistake. I believe I’ve admitted that already.

Also I wrote the Eternal Declaration on purpose. I was thinking about having fun in this game.

Hope your excuse works for others – it doesn’t for me.

I hope you're not implying Austi is title greedy. Because regardless of decorations, he's not the one with badges in his signature.

Jean Michel Leclerc - February 3, 2008 04:51 PM (GMT)
Juergen has earned his through commitment and hard work.

Sebastien Alexandre - February 3, 2008 08:16 PM (GMT)
And modesty and humility, too, it seems.
Alexandria is beginning to suffocate under an unbearable personality of insufferable nobility.

Jean Michel Leclerc - February 4, 2008 09:48 AM (GMT)
So then, what do you propose we do about it?

John_Carmichael - February 4, 2008 01:16 PM (GMT)
Sebastien,

Juergen is one of the humblest of people in Alexandria as far as I am concerned. What I remember of you as Minister of Justice is someone who is obnoxious and arrogant. True, there are some in Alexandria who are up themselves but to say Juergen is one of them is totally untrue. If you and the Scot/Spooner Cabal wish to be so annoyed, form a political party and try and change things. Otherwise, stop bitching incessantly.

Sincerely,

Jean.

There is no "Scot/Spooner Cable" that I know about - and for you to say such a thing comes as surprise to me!

Does no one realize that every title in the Eternal Declaration was temporary for every person. The title of "Duke" which I took was always available to others in the Eternal Declaration - I didn't take it except for the purpose of getting the government of the Province started.

I am completely amazed at the reactions and the spillover effects.

Austi:

Get used to it.

John:
Considering all that happened, and the praise from people I respect far more than yourself, and the fact that every case before me I handled to the best of my abilities and with appreciation and understanding on the side of plaintiff and defendant,

your words really have no bearing..

So, Sir Minister,
I must kindly point out it seems you to be the one who bitches, not myself, and must thus kindly ask you to stick your twisted rhetoric up your ass.

John_Carmichael - February 5, 2008 11:32 AM (GMT)
The Best of your abilities was simply not good enough then. I found your term as Minister of Justice when I was LCJ frightfully woeful.

And for your information, I am no Minister.

Hey, hey, hey. Chillout, Seb. There is no need to be using offensive language to express a point.

Sebastien Alexandre - February 5, 2008 11:07 PM (GMT)
Fire with fire, Your Majesty.

Mssr. Alexandre, I respect you now, it hasn't been like that always, but you earned such respect from most of us alexandrians, don't throw it by the window with childish attitudes.

Bottom line, this language is not to be tolerated here in Alexandria, so you better behave.

Respectfully,
