I move to ask His Imperial Majesty to serve as a moderator over the proceedings for the selection of a new Speaker and Clerk of Parliament.
I also move to begin debate on the following Organization Resolution:

A RESOLUTION
To organize the Imperial Parliament for the session beginning on January 16, 2008.
Be it resolved by the Imperial Parliament of the Empire of the Alexandrians --
SEC. 1. THE MAJORITY AND MINORITY
a. The majority shall consist of the Alexandrian Conservative Party and consenting independents.
b. The minority shall consist of the Federalist Party of Alexandria, the Alexandrian Amelioration Party and dissenting independents.
SEC. 2. LEADERSHIP OF THE HOUSE
a. SPEAKER OF THE PARLIAMENT: MP Matthieu Poitiers shall be Speaker of the House.
b. CLERK OF THE PARLIAMENT: MP Jose Frias shall be Clerk of Parliament.
c. PARLIAMENTARY MAJORITY LEADERSHIP
1. MAJORITY LEADER: MP Franco Torres of OTED shall be Majority Leader of the House.
d. PARLIAMENTARY MINORITY LEADERSHIP
1. MINORITY LEADER: MP [insert] shall be Minority Leader of the House.
SEC. 3. VACANCIES
a. Any vacancies in the leadership of the House shall be filled in accordance with the pertinent laws and regulations applying to Parliament. |
