| The Economic Reconstruction Act of 2007 Article 1. – Name. This act shall be officially titled as the “Economic Reconstruction Act of 2007.” Article 2. – Freezing of the economy. The Alexandrian economy is hereby frozen and temporarily suspended until an act of Parliament or an Imperial Decree countersigned by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance and Economics states that it is open once more. Article 3. – Economic Planning Committee. 1. The Imperial Parliament hereby throws its complete support behind the Imperial Decree that established the Economic Planning Committee, authorized on November 30th, 2006. 2. The Economic Planning Committee will now be in charge of drafting a master plan to reconstruct the Alexandrian economy, and shall present such master plan to the Imperial Parliament in the form of an act. 3. Should the Economic Planning Committee not fulfill its purpose in a timely manner, the Emperor, in consultation with the Imperial Cabinet, shall have the power to unilaterally declare the full dissolution of the Alexandrian economy. Article 4. – Imperial Assent. This act shall become law only with the express assent of His Imperial Majesty the Emperor. |
