Title: Leclerc for Speaker?

HIH Prince Enrique Portela - June 3, 2005 11:18 AM (GMT)
Please do tell your reasons, why you voted for him to be or not to be the Speaker.

Respectfully,

HIH Prince Enrique Portela - June 3, 2005 11:20 AM (GMT)
I voted Yes, because.. I think that Mssr. Leclerc will really get the Estates-General moving along quickly. I think that he would make a good Speaker.

Respectfully,

Jean Michel Leclerc - June 3, 2005 04:23 PM (GMT)
I'd like to know why i was forwarded for the position? I'd expect that Empress Josephine voted no!! :P

HIH Prince Enrique Portela - June 3, 2005 06:28 PM (GMT)
Well, you're active and we need an Active Speaker. I thought that you would be da' man for this job.. You dont have to accept the Nomination, this isnt official..

Or at least, it doesnt have to be if you dont wanna.. LOL ;)

Emperor Edgard II - June 3, 2005 07:55 PM (GMT)
I voted YES.

It's about time a faithful citizen took over these duties. I'd let me have more time with my azaleas at Wesloderia... ;)

Jacques Gordon - June 3, 2005 08:04 PM (GMT)
Yes! I'm afraid I don't know him personally, but we need an active citizen.

Jean Michel Leclerc - June 3, 2005 08:18 PM (GMT)
I am interested in taking the position but i'd like to know who voted no. Maybe we could come to an agreement.

Chris-loutradis - June 4, 2005 09:42 AM (GMT)
I can tell u but in private:PPP

Jean Michel Leclerc - June 4, 2005 11:16 AM (GMT)
You can tell me who voted no? Hmm. Well anyway i wouldn't take such a position without the full support of the house.

Josephine Behaurnais - June 4, 2005 03:07 PM (GMT)
Mssr Leclerc,

I voted no. I only had time to vote and not to post my reasons until today. My reason for a no vote is that I have certain reservations which are probably not 100% true, still I'd rather not take a risk.

I have certain worries over your politics.

Josephine R.

Chris-loutradis - June 4, 2005 03:11 PM (GMT)
I think that a majority of 83.3 % is massive for you my friend to work..

My Empress,

With all the respect Lecrec policies are progressive and productive for all of us..and you will see it in a little while.

Josephine Behaurnais - June 4, 2005 03:21 PM (GMT)
M.Loutradis,

Mssr Leclerc has an overall majority, and if those who have voted find him acceptable then I will be more than happy to work with him. But I am a little disturbed by all this talk of 'progressive and productive' policies which in past MNs have tended to mean the removal of power from the Emperor/King etc and have ended in messy revolutions and the end of nations.

Let us hope the faith you all have in Mssr Leclerc is proved to be worth investing.

Jean Michel Leclerc - June 4, 2005 06:45 PM (GMT)
Prince Enrique i am not interested in filling the position. As i said i will only do the job with full support of all citizens. I do not have full support and therefore will not take you up on your offer. I didn't ask for name to be put forward but i appreciate your faith in me by doing so.

Empress Josephine i'll let my politics do the talking where you are concerned from now on. I expect the real aspect of my 'politics' you don't like is the fact that i am not fearful of challenging you. Let the battle be joined.

Josephine Behaurnais - June 4, 2005 06:52 PM (GMT)
Mssr Leclerc,

My first priority is my family. I believe that your politics threaten the existance of our family in the capicity we hold. I couldn't care less if you are fearful of challenging me. I have no wish to battle with you in any way shape or form.

I would ask you to accept the position. The majority has voted for you to become speaker, and I would rather you did not dissapoint them based on my personal views.

Josephine R.

Jean Michel Leclerc - June 4, 2005 07:06 PM (GMT)
My decision stands. Your reasons are feable. I'm sure the Emperor himself will vouch for me in respect of this apparent revolutionary you've created for me - which is itself based on me challenging you and what is the political normality of this country.

HIH Prince Enrique Portela - June 5, 2005 07:46 PM (GMT)
Alright my Friend. I did not mean to make you take the job, i was just making a poll to see if you became intrested. I really thought that you would take the job, but if not.. its ok, we all still love you, dear friend. :P :D

Respectfully,

Jean Michel Leclerc - June 5, 2005 09:58 PM (GMT)
I would take the job but find Josephine's opinion on 'my politics' to be so grossly inacurate that i feel i can't. Maybe her husband could explain to her the nature of my politics a little more accuarately when they are in the palace on time.

Josephine Behaurnais - June 5, 2005 10:17 PM (GMT)
Mssr Leclerc,

My opinion on your politics is exactly that. I do not need my husband to explain the nature of your politics, you are, I'm sure quite capable, however, you have made no effort to reassure me or to explain your politics.

Of Course, whether you take the position or not is of no concern of mine. I certainly won't beg you.

And can we keep some degree of civility? I've always addressed you correctly, and have never referred to you as 'him'.

Josephine R.

Jean Michel Leclerc - June 6, 2005 06:36 PM (GMT)
I feel i've been perfectly civil. I don't need to write Josephine everytime i write about you.

Strangely enough i haven't really done anything that displays the nature of my politics. You are the one that obviously detected an aspect to my politics that you don't like - why don't you share it with me and the house.

HIH Prince Enrique Portela - June 6, 2005 06:42 PM (GMT)
Come on people! Lets stop the Bickering! (goes in and get between the two) ok guys:: lets get back to work::

@ Leclerc- hey dude:: do you still want to create your own party?

Josephine Behaurnais - June 6, 2005 06:43 PM (GMT)
As far I am concerned the matter is closed.

I suggest we get on with the buisness of the house whether you choose to be speaker or not.

Jean Michel Leclerc - June 6, 2005 06:47 PM (GMT)
Well Loutradis is the guy who wants to lead the party so its his decision really. I'll wait and see - i'm quite happy being independent at the moment.
