Title: Provincial development through economics

Emperor Edgard II - December 6, 2006 07:26 PM (GMT)
Just thinking out loud. Join me if you wish.

Perhaps if we allowed provinces to open hotels within themselves and such it would be really cool. We can promote provincial activity through tourism and economics. That way we can ensure that there is some attention granted to the provinces and that they remain relevant. For example, we could invite the Anthelian run hotel chains to open hotels within Alexandria. We could encourage locals to open hotels of their own as well, and we could build a thriving tourism industry.

We could begin mapping major cities in Alexandria such as Geneva, Franciscania, Edgardia, Loredo, Crecy, etc. and begin selling real estate perhaps? That could be another option as well to promote local investment and economics.

IT was an option that has been brought up several times, both under Monsieur Jame's and I's tenures as Minister of Economics, it is something taht should be pursued under the current Ministry.

However, I do believe that this would be best suited if we followed a more Shirerothian approach to provincial development - mainly, let the residents decide what their territory is, not the government.

However, if requested, I can begin work on a Venice-style city,a s was previously discussed, Your Majesty.

A Venice-style city would be a great idea indeed for the colony we aim to establish. That way, we can sort of begin everything from the ground up.

Monsieur Alexandre, given that you're still part of the armed forces, would you like to command an expedition to other lands in Giess to find a suitable place for this colony?

This is a very good idea as I've said before. Maybe we can work on drafting a few documents to propose to Parliament on this matter.
