Notes:
  • All accounts over E 300 were automatically taxed 25%, as by law; due to the fact that taxes have never before been collected (so for all purposes, this is monthly income). Next month it will go by what you actually make that month.
  • All businesses with a 0 or - balance were not taxed, as they made no profit to be taxed.
  • A108, A109, and A110 will all be PM'd with their information.

I`m no expert but I think the way the law should be read is the following.
If you have E 400, then the first hundred are taxed by 10%, the second hundred are taxed by 20% and the rest is taxed by 25%. So the overoll taxes would be:
-- 100*10%+100*20%+200*25%= 10+20+50 = 80

I you taxed the whole four hundred by 25% that would be 100.

Again, I`m no expert, and I`m not sure if what I am pointing out is correct, but I think it is.

Sincerely,

Pete James - September 18, 2006 09:08 PM (GMT)
Indeed the Cardinal is correct. I seem to be coming to realise I should have spent more time drafting that paticular act....

Jacques de Beaufort - September 22, 2006 10:48 PM (GMT)
Pete there is nothing wrong with the act. If I am not mistaken many laws in the RW are like that. It just needs to be explained because it can be read differently.

Sincerely,

Perhaps a court decision regarding all future interpretations?
