| On July 17th, Alexandrians elected a new government. The Government is honoured by the responsibility it has been given for managing the affairs of our great country. Alexandria is uniquely blessed in the strength and diversity of its people and regions. Through hard work, foresight and good fortune, we have come together to make our vast country one of the most successful in Micras. The distance we have travelled is remarkable. A country once perceived to be at the edge of the world is now slowly emerging as a leader in Micras. The Government is proud of what Alexandrians have accomplished so far, and is inspired by the country's bright prospects. It believes in the capacity of Alexandrians to seize the enormous opportunities before them and build an even stronger Alexandria, striving for excellence, anchored by enduring values, and infused with growing confidence that they can make a difference at home and in the world. In support of building a stronger Alexandria, the Government's agenda will be clear and focused. It will clean up government, provide real support to ordinary working families and strengthen our Empire as well as our role in the world. Dear members of this Imperial Parliament, my government will continue to pursue economic policies which entrench stability and promote long-term growth and prosperity. My government will work hard to make Alexandria an economic power in the micronational world - we will work to secure low inflation and keep sound public finances. My government is committed to continuing the work of the Conservative Contract with the people of Alexandria. This election gave us the necessary mandate from the people to pursue a more intense course of reform aimed at making Alexandria stronger and free. Democracy will keep moving forward. My government will work to create the National Health Care Service - we will offer free and comprehensive health care to all Alexandrian citizens. The people of Alexandria are good - and they deserve proper health care. Legislation will be introduced to restrict smoking in enclosed public places and workplaces. Legislation will be introduced to set a legal age for smoking and drinking, as well as the licensing of bars and alcohol establishments. Education remains a top priority for my government. My government will create a new education system and build on the progress already made so the Empire of the Alexandrians can become a place of learning and culture. A bill will be introduced to establish a national employment database, offering updated and current information about job openings throughout the Empire of the Alexandrians. Every Alexandrian should be able to have the resources neccesary to find a job. My government is committed to creating safe and secure communities, and fostering a culture of respect. My government will bring forward measures to tackle those who incite religious hatred. My government is committed to achieving sustainable development and supporting rural services. Legislation will be brought forward to ensure the better management and protection of the natural environment and to provide support for rural communities. Members of the Imperial Parliament, my government will continue to work closely with the administrations of each and every Alexandrian province, and will work to bring about the conditions necessary for the establishment of stable, democratic provincial governments. Legislation will be brought forward to encourage greater voter participation in elections while introducing further measures to combat fraud and increase security. My government will continue the Cabinet reforms begun through the Ministry of Interior Act and the Foreign Affairs Revolution Act. We will further designate the duties of the Ministries and streamline the mammoth Ministry of Interior. Legislation will be introduced to reform the Cabinet and to establish the Cabinet as Our official Counsel in matters of State. My government will also propose constitutional reforms to ensure a better and more flexible schedule of elections, and to allow for longer terms for Parliament and the Prime Minister. Legislation will be introduced to establish an official law for elections, how they should be conducted and when. My government will work hard to expand the number of justices on the bench. The High Court shall be packed with able-minded justices that will work to interpret the Constitution. My government will continue to play its full part in international affairs. My government will work to deepen and develop the strong partnership between Alexandria and its allies. Alexandria's voice in the world must be supported by action, both at home and abroad. Advancing our interests in a complex and sometimes dangerous world requires confidence and the independent capacity to defend our country's sovereignty and the security of our citizens. The Government will work cooperatively with our friends and allies and constructively with the international community to advance common values and interests. In support of this goal, it will build stronger multilateral and bilateral relationships, starting with Alexandria's relationship with the Viking Empire of Stormark, our best friend and largest trading partner. We will focus especially on strengthening bonds with fellow constitutional monarchies and our Cibolan neighbors. Alexandria has neglected Cibola for too long - and now it is time to assume regional leadership. More broadly, this Government is committed to supporting Alexandria's core values of freedom, democracy, the rule of law and human rights around the world. In this regard, the Government will support a more robust diplomatic role for Alexandria, and a stronger military. The Government's clear and focused agenda reflects its commitment to Alexandrians. It will not try to do all things at once. Instead, the Government will work diligently to make tangible improvements that contribute to stronger families and safer communities, and a stronger country. During this Fourth Parliament, the Government will be bringing forward fiscally responsible budgets and a legislative program that will achieve the results that Alexandrians expect from their elected representatives. Over the course of its mandate, and starting with the clear priorities set out today, the Government will work diligently to build a record of results. It will promote a more competitive, more productive Alexandrian economy. It will seek to improve opportunity for all Alexandrians. Together, the Government's actions will ensure Alexandria's future success. With the efforts and contributions of members from both chambers, the Government looks forward to making this Parliament work for the benefit of the Alexandrian people.
