Application Guide

Name of Applicant - The name of the person applying to create the company. This should be the person who will be primary owner of the business.

Name of Partner(s) if any - The name or names of any partners who will be involved in the ownership or direction of the company. This is necessary if the company being created is to be an AG.

Company Name - The name of the company. For foreign companies, this should include ‘Alexandria’ in brackets at the end of the name.

Foreign and Domestic Companies
Domestic Company - A domestic company is any company that is created in Alexandria by a citizen of Alexandria.

Foreign Company - A foreign company is any company created in Alexandria by a citizen of another nation. Foreign companies must bear ‘Alexandria in brackets after their name to signify a foreign ownership.

For example, ABC Company from Babhka incorporates in Alexandria, its official name will be ABC Company (Alexandria) Inc.

Forms of Incorporation

Imperial Charter [Setup fee AE 5,000] - Companies created by Imperial Charter are created, as sole proprietorships owned by the Crown. Companies purchased by the Government will be granted Imperial Charters to signify their ownership by the crown. Sometimes called ‘Crown Corporations’. Companies sold by the Crown must be reincorporated in a form listed below.

Inc [Setup fee AE 3,000] - Inc means that the company is incorporated, but it is not publicly traded (as public companies must be corporations). Inc's are essentially partnerships without a legal name. Subsidiaries of corporations can be Inc's.

SC (Stock Corporation) [Setup fee AE 1,000] - All publicly traded companies are SC’s, but not all SC’s are publicly traded. SC’s have two sets of boards -- the Board, which usually consists of the CEO, CFO and other top management, and a Directorate as a "supervisory board," which has the function of overseeing management and representing the shareholders. One person cannot be on both boards.

Business Company [Setup fee AE1,000] - A registered company, not publicly traded (as public companies must be SC’s). Subsidiaries of SC’s can be Inc's.

Non profit Society/Association - Generates no income.

Types of Industry

Primary Industry – Primary industries use raw natural resources as major inputs. Agriculture, commercial fishing, mining, and the forest industry are primary industries. They use farmland, oceans, mineral deposits, and forests, respectively, as their major inputs.

Secondary Industry - Secondary industries use producer goods to assemble their products. For example, the construction industry produces houses, other buildings, and roads. Its inputs include lumber manufactured by the forest industry. The largest group of secondary industries is the manufacturing industries. Manufacturing industries produce a vast array of consumer and producer goods, such as processed food, clothing, heavy machinery, automobiles, electronics, and household appliances.

Tertiary Industry – Tertiary industries are those that provide services. For example, retail stores, universities, hotels, banks, television stations, hospitals, and travel agencies are all tertiary industries. Also classified as tertiary industries are all forms of government activity, ranging from local trash disposal to the armed forces

Head Office city - The city, either foreign or domestic in which the business operates out of. This will serve to allow the company at some point to purchase a property and be provided with an address by the Government.

Business Webpage or Forum address - Linked URL of any company webpages, forums, products etc.

Company Discription
A brief description of the company's activities.

NOTE
  • To register a business, please post a new thread with your Business name in it, followed my the word 'Form'.
  • Filing an application to start a firm in Alexandria enables you to be able to claim a lot in the Geneva Business District. When asking for a lit, make sure you link to the Business Application you filed to confirm your claim.
