Brothers and Sisters,
Today you come here as our nation faces a crossroads. Each candidate represents a different road and a different path. However, each candidate will, I am sure, follow a credo of doing what is right. It is at these times of great political change that I remember well the words of St Francis of Assisi. "Where there is hatred, let me sow love,where there is injury, pardon,where there is doubt, faith,where there is despair, hope,where there is darkness, light and where there is sadness, joy". It is vital that our new Prime Minister, whoever he may be, bears those words in mind.
In the book of Samuel, we are told that the Lord said, "He who rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God. And he shall be like the light of the morning when the sun rises, a morning without clouds, like the tender grass springing out of the earth, by clear shining after rain". And so as we move forward, let us put our faith not only in our elected leaders, but in our Father in Heaven also.
Let us Pray;
"Merciful and Loving Father, we pray for your blessing on the work we do here today. We pray and ask for your blessing on our Emperor and on the Imperial Family. We pray that all who are burdened with power or hard decisions may make those choices with your love and your grace. We pray that as we choose our leaders, we bear in mind the one leader we have in heaven. We pray for the Church, for our Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI and we pray that we may grow in knowledge and might"
Amen.
The service is ended. Go with the Love of the Lord.
Dear Bishop,
May I say a few words?
Of Course Your Imperial Majesty. Pray Silence for our Emperor.
My fellow brethren in the Lord,
I want to thank Bishop Morales for his words - you are truly a worker for the Lord, my friend. Thank you for doing God's work. I also wish to thank His Eminence Cardinal Beaufort for the leadership he provides for the Roman Catholic Church here in Alexandria.
We should be proud of ourselves - here before God, we can testify to the fact that our nation is changing for the better. The Lord, with his hands full of love, grace and mercy, has molded our nation and he keeps molding it through the will of the people.
We should be proud that our nation stands unique among micronations - we have combined the workings of a true parliamentary democracy together with the workings of a monarchy that is connected to the people.
I have to thank the Good Lord for having the privilege to serve the people of Alexandria. It is truly a pleasure.
Thank you all and may God bless each and everyone of you.
I'd like to thank Bishop Morales for a wonderful service and the Emperor for those good words.
Let us all pray for the continueance of this wave of good the Empire is going through.
You're all in my prayers,
