Asuncioners,

You all know me, you know that I care for the Empire, and for this province.
There are those who say that my condition of Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church bans me from running for a seat in the Imperial Parliament. Well, until the Emperor or the Imperial Parliament rule that a member of the clergy cannot be in government, I will still devote my life and work to making this province and this great Empire a better one.

The ACP is the Party that has never let you down, and it will not do so now. We do not try to radically change everything that we see, and we have always made the greatest efforts to make this a etter place.

So in the upcoming parliamentary elections:

VOTE ACP!

VOTE DE BEAUFORT!

VOTA ASUNCION!

Sincerely,

Fabiola Douay - January 7, 2006 08:30 PM (GMT)
Cardinal de Beaufort,

Vatican II ruled that whatever a country says about clergy sitting in Parliament, the Vatican bans all it's clergy from sitting. There is a ban, set by Vatican II and later endorsed by Pope John Paul II on all Catholic clergymen running for election. Therefore, by running for election, you are breaking Vatican law. You must give up your position as a Cardinal or withdraw your election candidacy.

As much as I'd welcome the opposition, you simply aren't allowed to run whilst a Priest.

News Flash for you: I am runnin for Parliament, and stop this Vatican thing, this is micronationalism, and I answer to the Emperor or Parliament. The possition of Cardinal that I hold, is only for being the only person the Emperor thought was worthy of holding this possition. I am still in full capability of running for the Imperial Parliament, and I will do so, wether you like it or not.

News Flash for you - It may be MN but here we have a simulated Catholic Church. As Head of that Church in Alexandria you have to play by the rules. I'm not being vindictive - you've got to honour your position the same as we all do.

See the Place du Marmion where I have pointed out what bars you from standing for election.

I have answered your post in the Place du Marmion with a possibility to end this discussion in the most democratic way.
