Title: Points of Order

Claude Peterson - November 29, 2005 01:57 AM (GMT)
To express your concern with matters of parliament, or with conduct of other members a short statement (with a link to the problem to direct me where it is) and I shall respond. This is not a topic for discussion, simply to raise a point to have it ruled on. If your concerns with the chair or otherwise are not points of order then they may be brought forth in parliament or to another executive body with rule over the chair of parliament. I also remind all members that points of order do take place in the house, and that the speaker must be addressed.

Mr Speaker,

The Emergency Act has been under voting for a week. The way I see it, those who are going to vote have voted and the act should be closed and declared passed.

Mr Speaker,

As a point of order; although order is a good thing - to have the unneccesary closure of threads before an argument is finished I find to be a bad practice. We all have the right to free expression and to argue our cases yet you found it perfectly fine to continue to address me incorrectly and then to delete my post after I'd had the thread reopened. And all of this in a thread to introduce myself to the chamber.

I have informed the Emperor of this incident and no action will be taken this time.

Finally I request that you please address me "Your Lordship" until we are on more familiar terms.

Thankyou,
