| THE REFORM PARTY OF ALEXANDRIA Today marks a great point in Alexandrias history. The Reform Party has been set up because I feel that the current Parliament needs to be held accountable for not representing the people and for being inactive. I also feel that there should be more citizen involvement in the government. Our Founding statement is that Alexandria be a Strong and Vibrant Micronation. Founding Principle: That Alexandria be a Strong and Vibrant Micronation Party Organization: To be determined as more people join it OUR PLATFORM: Immigration: Have more scrutinizing done by the Minister of the Interior before acceptance of applicants; Establishment of a Citizenship Test; Binding Citizen Referendums Give Alexandrians a way to exercise thire democratic voice more than once every three months; Alexandrians should be able to recall their officials at all levels of government if they are not content with them and replace them; Referendum and initiative should be rights for every Alexandrian citizen to have. Constitutional Referendum Alexandrians should decide whether the constitutional draft worked on by the Parliament will be there Constitution or not. Citizens Council as Supreme Court Let the citizens have the final say in important court cases. It will be the final court of appeal. No Church Role in Government The Established Church and any other religious organizations have to be treated equally and without any particular preference. Enjoy a successful economy Building a vibrant economy in which no Alexandrian is left behind progress comes for all of the people who participate in the economy. Protectionism is the way to ensure that our economy takes off well. Separate the Economics Portfolio from the Imperial Bank of Alexandria |
