QUOTE
Original Constitutional Draft.
Part I [General Provisions]
Section 4 [State Church]
The Roman Catholic Church shall be the Established Church of Alexandria, and, as such, it shall be supported by the State.

Gentlemen, I support this article, and i hope it is included in this constitution. Everybody knows where i stand regards religion: everybody knows i am a catholic as his majesty our Emperor. And also this article is already true: we already have our own Basilica in Geneva, of which i am priest as well as Cardinal of Geneva. The reasons i support this are because i belive that every state should support a religion no matter which one, and because i, honouring the fact that Alexandria always supported Catholicism, believe that this does not mean that everybody is of a certain religion. The religion supported by the State WILL NOT be imposed on anybody, and that is why we wrote the following article.
QUOTE
Part II [Rights and Liberties]
Section 8 [Freedom of religion]
The Empire of the Alexandrians guarantees Freedom of Religion. No person shall for reasons of his creed or descent be deprived of access to complete enjoyment of his civic and political rights, nor shall he for such reasons evade compliance with any common civic duty.

This my friends is why is support this article. And no i am not trying to impose anything, i just hoped it would be good for us to keep the tradition going.

Vote with your hearts. Sincerely,
